The 3 Rules that will insure your success...
#1 - Perseverance and confidence in yourself and your idea.
In 1985, I was walking through the Volusia Mall in Daytona Beach Florida and noticed a girl working behind the cosmetics counter in Dillard's department store was crying. I asked if she was alright, she said she wanted to start her own cosmetics line and when she told the other girls working there, they laughed at her. I knew I had to think of something original that spoke straight to the heart, that's when I told her:
#2 -"People who laugh at you for pursuing your dreams have given up on theirs."
In the following weeks, I helped her start her own cosmetics company by setting up the corporation, banking, accounting, suppliers, packaging, marketing, retailers, distribution and subscriptions to trade journals keeping her ahead of the competition and updated on new markets, suppliers and news of enabling and emerging technologies she could incorporate into her new product line.
#3 - Timing determines your degree of success. Never giving up insures timing.
(Timing is often misidentified as "luck.")
